I left each weekend saying to myself, "Wow, that was phenomenal!" I learned the pragmatics of leadership. I was given permission to learn how to be a leader which is different than how I have traditionally been taught. In my native culture, I am expected to learn through observation, by trial and error, and through really hard obstacles --always my integrity and resilience was tested or my ego. Through WLC, I have learned a myriad of leadership modalities. I learned without ever being ashamed of my perceptions, thoughts, and ideas, and the culture from which I come. After WLC I feel that I know in my gut that I have the foundational/concrete skills to be a leader and to use my personal power for whatever change I wish to see in the world.
